Ashley and Daniel met long ago when they were still growing up. Their relationship has stood the test of time through many of life's challenges. Everything culminated to planning their wedding, set to be May 18 2020, they couldn't wait....
As we know, the world as we knew it rapidly changed before our eyes and disrupted just about every aspect of life. Naturally their wedding was quickly being rescheduled for a time when they could celebrate as they wanted. They wouldn't let COVID get in their way of getting married though, so they eloped, just the two of them at Goodstone Inn in Middleburg in typicaly COVID friendly fashion.
Laura Ritchie, owner of Grit and Grace planning was quickly planning for their next celebration which was to be held in DC. Laura is a wedding planner, and a damn good one at that. Not only is she a planner, but she is a creative and tailors each and every wedding to her couples, no detail left undone. This is why she is considered to be one of the top planners in the DC/VA area and will continue to separate herself as a leader in the space.

5/18/21 arrived finally, the day they've been dreaming up was finally here. Getting an Air bnb for the morning of nestled in the historic DC streets was a perfect beginning to their beautiful day. Ashley prepared with her bridesmaids in a beautiful gown adorned with beads and lace, it was absolutely gorgeous.

Being a Washington DC wedding videographer means I get to see and be a part of so many unique weddings. DC is not short on impressive venues and extremely talented vendors. When these people get together and execute at their highest level, weddings here can rival with the rest of them. Meridian house is one of the venues that has unique charm, a historic background and vibes that make you feel like you are somewhere else, Spain perhaps. With Linden trees that were shipped from Spain scattered in the back, a sprawling open space for a quiet ceremony to architecture that is reminiscent of the Jefferson Memorial, the Meridian House is one that will make your guests feel special.
As things would have it, dancing was actually forbidden in the DC limits. Footloose anyone? So while there was no "reception" as we know it, the wedding was complete with a sexy dinner party vibe. One long table with hanging floral orbs, stringed quartets, and an espresso barista making everyone's favorite coffee. It was perfect, intimate and full of love.
Take a look at their Meridian House DC Wedding Video above to get a full picture of how their day unfolded and felt! Daniel and Ashley graced us with their stellar salsa dancing skills bringing Cuban vibes which lead well to the intro to their wedding video. A wedding that I'll not soon forget with a team that hit on all cylinders.

Lisa Ziesing with Abby Jiu Photography was right there with us capturing the day as well. The flowers were designed and installed by the incredible Sweet Root Village. Catering by Design Cuisine.
